  25. This was designed for the Sysop in mind but can be used for anything!
  26. Ok Sysop, do you have a few display screens that are to be put in the SAME
  27. SPOT? Like a few different main menu screens and a couple logoff screens,
  28. but you want your users to see them all? This utility will "rotate" your
  29. files around so that the user sees a different screen each time he is
  30. logged on! And it will do this automatically!

  53. Put SPiN-iT in a separate directory of your choosing and edit the
  54. config file SPIN-IT.CFG. It looks like this:

  56. LINE  1: 0                             <-Registration Code
  57. LINE  2: C:\TRIBBS\DISPLAY\LOGON2.ANS  <-Lines 2-11: files to rotate. Lines
  58. LINE  3: C:\TRIBBS\DISPLAY\LOGON2.AN2    4-11 are optional, as you may have
  59. LINE  4: C:\TRIBBS\DISPLAY\LOGON2.AN3    it rotate only 2 files if you wish.
  60. LINE  5:                                 You MUST have Lines 2 & 3, as it
  61. LINE  6:                                 takes at least 2 files to "rotate".

  68. The program is run with this syntax: SPIN-IT.EXE <CONFIG FILE>

  70. ex:   SPIN-IT.EXE SPIN-IT.CFG

  72. If no config file is specified, it will default to SPIN-IT.CFG.
  73. You have have as many config files as you like. Each config file
  74. specifies the set of files to rotate, so essentially you can have
  75. an unlimited number of sets.

  77. If you're a sysop, a good place to have your BBS run this program
  78. is right after a caller logs off. For TriBBS systems, that would
  79. be in the BETWEEN.BAT file. Consult your BBS software's documentation.

  86.           error 53: A file you specified in the .CFG doesn't exist.

  88.  "ONLY ONE FILE!!": You have only specified 1 file to rotate in the config.
  89.                     Common sense should tell you that you need at least 2

  100. * Let you rotate up to 10 files, as opposed to only 2 unregistered
  101. * Disable that annoying *UNREGISTERED* nag in the program
  102. * Remove the 2-second delay at the end of program completion
  103. * Entitle you to a free copy of all future versions of SPiN-iT
  104. * Make me happy
